[Video] Rane Sixty-Two Z Unboxing & First Impressions

A few short months ago, we reviewed the Rane Sixty-One Serato Scratch Live Professional DJ mixer which boasts great build quality and an interal SSL soundcard interface so that DJ's can connect vinyl or CD timecode for digital music playback via computer. NAMM 2012: Rane Sixty-One & Sixty-Two Mixers

NAMM 2012 is shaping up to be one for the ages! There are lots of surprise developments and more new DJ and production gear than we can all keep up with. But when the big dogs start barking we all pay close attention. We are happy to introduce the new Rane Sixty-One and Rane Sixty-Two Turntablist Two-channel Serato Mixers. The Rane Sixty-One looks to be almost like a new version of the TTM-57SL with a few more buttons and functions to control the Serato Software, while the Rane Sixty-Two does all this plus adds dual-USB interfaces and even more Loop/Cue/Sample buttons for control. Rane TTM57MKII Unboxing [Video]

The Rane TTM57MKII two-channel Serato DJ Mixer that was recently announced at the NAMM 2015 show is now in the DJbooth.net lab for the full Video review treatment. The TTM57MKII is the new update to a classic. When the original TTM57SL mixer was dropped from the Serato DJ support model many DJ's were up in arms. Now Rane has made things right by reviving the TTM57MKII complete with Serato DJ control, dual-USB ports, 8 RGB backlit pads, Low/High Pass filters, and the superb build quality that Rane is known for.

[Video] Rane Sixty-One Unboxing & First Impressions

It's been about four years since we reviewed our last Rane mixer which was the iconic TTM-56. Those ultra-reliable battle-worthy Rane TTM mixers are still recognized as a top industry performers and DJ's still swear by them to this day. The new Rane Sixty-One mixer combines that same reliability and build quality of the TTM series with an internal DVS soundcard for vinyl or CD timecode. This mixer comes with the SSL software and timecode vinyls and CD's to get started. All you need to add is the computer and CD or turntable decks to start spinning. The Rane Sixty-Two mixer is still arguably the king of all battle scratch DJ mixers since its the main weapon of choice for most DJ competitions and competitors.
