The former DMC World Champion of 2004 and 2005; DJ IE Merge rips it up at DJ Craze's studio. From 2002-2005, Merge won 35 DJ battles. Since 2002, Merge has won 9 national titles and 4 world titles, more titles in 3 years than any other DJ. He has won every prominent US title, and is known for his highly technical routines.

Yesterday while scratching it up on my tables, I decided to look at some online videos of some of the greatest Turntablists to ever touch a pair of decks. This search ultimately brought me to a few videos of the 2007 World DMC Champion DJ Rafik...

Usually when we speak of Turntablists and their achievements, its often only one guy coming out on top. We often forget about the largely successful DJ Teams that really put it down on the decks simultaneously doing unforgettable sets as a group. DJ Roc Raida, (Grandmaster Roc Raida) was a 1995 DMC World Champion DJ and was inducted into the DMC hall of fame in 1999. He is one of the early Turntablist pioneers of the game and the video inside will show exactly what he did to win the coveted DMC World title.

The biggest and baddest world DJ Competition is going viral! The DMC turntablist championship is now also an online competition. Introducing the DMC Online DJ Championship where turntablists all over the world are able to send in videos in order to compete against other worldwide DJ hopefuls. So whether you are interested in competing or simply voting for a winner, all you have to do is visit the site and sign-up! The 2013 DMC World Championships were held on October 5th at the O2 Arena in the UK this year and it was another huge success. By all accounts the battles were really close this year but there can only be one winner in each category! France's DJ Fly (above) took the top prize in the World Final, Ritchie Ruftone took first place in the Battle for World Supremacy, and France's Mr Viktor, Deska & DJ Hertz won the World Team battle by only one point!

DJ A-trak is the youngest person to ever win the DMC World Title at the young age of 15 in 1997. He was also one-half of the Allies DJ Team consisting of himself and DJ Craze; together they won the 2000 DMC World Team Championship.
