NAMM 2011 - Audio Technica Wireless Mic Charging System

I've got a few more tid-bits from NAMM 2011 that I thought were worth a mention, even if they aren't made exclusively for DJ's. Audio Technica has been in the wireless microphone business for quite some time offering high quality audio gear since day one. The new Audio Technica 2000 Series Wireless Microphones now have a new charging system that makes it easy for users to just drop in the wireless microphone and/or transmitter for charging and leave it be until the batteries are ready to go again. Introducing the Audio Technica the ATW-CHG2 Two-Bay Recharging Station. This system is perfect for the Karaoke and Mobile DJ's out there who need a good chargeable microphone system to take on the road with them when reliability counts. Details and Press Release Inside.

Numark Announces Moble DJ PA system for iPod

Some Mobile DJ's out there don't really need a traditional "two-turntables-and-a-mic" setup in order to play their gigs. In fact, most Mobile DJ's I see at gigs these days show up with nothing more than a laptop and a PA system. Numark must have also saw this trend as they introduce the Numark Mobile DJ PA system for the iPod. Now DJ's can carry even less with them to a gig in order to get the party bumpin'. All you need is this PA system and an iPod or two and you are ready to roll. Full Press Release inside.

NAMM 2012: Auralex ProMAX Portable Studio Panels

Some people need sound absorbing studio panels to get the most out of their production or studio quality sound system. Often, these panels are permanently attached to the walls in a DJ booth or professional studio and they remain in place until you change the actual studio itself. Auralex has just introduced the new ProMax portable studio sound absorbing panels that come mounted to a stand and can be used in any location where mounting acoustical treatments to the wall are not possible or ideal.
