Serato has just announced a brand new 1.6.3 update to it’s flagship software Serato DJ to improve platter latency with the new Pioneer DDJ-SZ controller, improve platter LED response on all controllers/CDJ’s, and official Serato Accessory Support for the Pioneer CDJ-900NXS. They’ve also fixed a Playhead jumping issue with CDJ’s in Relative mode and a Slicer Mode fix with the Reloop RP-8000 turntables using link mode.

The Pioneer DDJ-SZ has been released a few months ago and there were early reports of the jog wheel response time being way larger than normal. There were also reports that the playhead didn’t always line up with the Serato DJ track and there was enough delay in the response that Pioneer even recalled the DDJ-SZ until there was a fix. Serato has now provided its own update to the software to fix this platter latency issue with the DDJ-SZ and while they were at it, they improved platter LED Lighting ring response across the board for all users of CDJ’s or any controllers that have the playhead ring. The Pioneer CDJ-900NXS is now an official Serato Accessory with full support. Check out the link below to download your own copy of the new
