DJ Controllers

Serato has announced that for a limited time users can now upgrade their Serato DJ Intro controller to the Full Serato DJ software for only $99. Users looking to upgrade to Serato DJ+Video will only shell out $150. I'm not sure how long this deal will last, but it's pretty safe to say that it won't be long. DJ Controllers

Just last week, Vestax announced that the new Serato DJ Software now works with their Typhoon Digital DJ Controller. Vestax Typhoon users can download a free trial for 14 days, or upgrade for $129. Serato DJ brings the new features of the full software such as Instant Doubles and iZotope FX to Typhoon users.

DJ Controllers

Introducing the new replacement software for Serato Itch enabled DJ Controllers which will now be called Serato DJ. This new software is a huge breakthrough for the Serato team as this new Serato DJ software will allow DJ's who use Serato DJ Intro an upgrade path to a real full-featured software (finally!). Serato DJ will be fully MIDI mappable allowing DJ's to use a combination of different controllers to achieve the ultimate control. DJ Controllers

Just because someone is using the lite version of a DJ software doesn't mean the DJ can't pull off some great mixing and show some serious skills on these new entry-level DJ controllers that are out there on the market. We reviewed the Pioneer DDJ-SB controller about a year ago and Sam from the Serato team performs a quick routine using only Serato DJ Intro and some of the entry-level controllers that all cost under $300 and are bundled with the software. If you need more horsepower, then the user can upgrade to the full Serato DJ software which has more features.

DJ Controllers

The new Serato DJ software (which is basically the new replacement software for Serato Itch) now provides a true upgrade path for people who are using the low-level Serato DJ Intro software with their Digital DJ Controllers. Serato DJ Intro software has a limited number of DJ functions, but DJ that own the Numark Mixtrack, Denon MC2000, or the Pioneer DDJ-ERGO now have the option to upgrade to the full Serato DJ version with much more control over the playback options and lots more features at your fingertips.

DJ Controllers

Serato DJ 1.2 is now available for download to all Serato DJ controller users. The update also finally brings the Serato DJ software upgrade to Serato Itch users who own the Vestax VCI-380, the Numark NS7, Mixdeck, Mixdeck Express and the Pioneer DDJ-S1. The Serato DJ 1.2 upgrade also brings with it the new Multi-FX feature which allows DJ's to chain up to six different effects together at once. The new popular and compact Digital DJ controller known as the Pioneer DDJ-WeGO already comes bundled with Virtual DJ LE but now users can download a free copy of Serato DJ Intro to give users a totally different look and feel to the already successful controller. Serato DJ Intro is a bare-bones style DJ software for DJ controllers that always boast good jog wheel response and enough base-features to appease most DJ's needs. The Numark NS6 has been out on the market for almost two years now, but its still one of my favorite controllers to use with Serato. During our HD-Video review, we loved the build quality, tight jog wheels, and excellent fader feel along with the plethora of input and output options that are available to the users. The NS6 now gets a free software upgrade from Serato Itch to the new and improved Serato DJ and DJ CXL is in the Numark Studio to give a quick demo video of the new look and features.
