Great news from DJ Software Juggernaut Serato. This time around they’ve given us a beta program Sampling music and directly using it with your favorite DAW system. Including FL Studio, Ableton, Logic Pro, and NI Maschine are current supported software (may work with other DAW’s but not currently supported through beta).
In a statement released from Serato CEO Young Ly said: “Over the years we’ve seen huge growth in the crossover between DJing and producing so it feels like a natural next step for us to return to the world of production. And in turn it made sense to leverage our successful plugin, Pitch ‘n Time.”
The features within the tool visually look familiar. With Pitch ‘n Time key detection and shifting, Waveform scrub and needle drop, along with a Autoset algorithm that can find 16 of the best samples to work with in the song of your choice.
The public beta is currently only available for experienced producers. If you think you’re in that category stop at the Serato website and apply.
