Version 1.2 for Stanton’s Scratch DJ Academy MIX! software is now available. Stanton has just released a system software update, SC-IX Version 2.0 and a new offline music file analyzer, QuickGrid software for the SCS.4DJ Mixstation. These two updates look to further improve the SCS.4DJ user experience while DJing and preparing music files for performance. Some of the performance updates include increased speed when switching between different on-screen menus, (especially for users with large libraries) and the ability to do the track analysis work offline at high speeds with QuickGrid. The Denon DJ Engine Music Management Software gets a new update with some cool new features to make using the Denon SC2900 and SC3900 an even more enjoyable experience. With the new Engine V1.1.0 software update update for PC/Mac and iOS there is also a new Firmware update for the Denon SC2900/SC3900 players which will make the user experience more fluid and accurate. Pioneer DJ has just announced its next generation DDJ-WeGO2 compact DJ controller that is essentially the same as the original but adds a new carry-handle that functions as a iPad/iPhone stand and a new Pioneer/Apple lightning cable to connect to the new iOS devices. The new DDJ-WeGO2 looks almost identical to the original DDJ-WeGO, but the added Multi-Purpose Grip and iOS cable are sure to appease many iPad/iPhone users who are looking for a good quality and compact controller to get in on some DJ action.

Just last night, the Serato team has released updates to the Serato DJ, Serato Video, and Serato Remote software that will give users even more options than ever before. The Serato DJ 1.6.1 update adds multiple Panel View, Windows 8 compatibility, and Pioneer CDJ-850 compatibility. Serato Video adds audio/video combo effects, and the Serato Remote iPad app now has Slicer Mode.

Just in case there weren't enough all-in-one media controllers on the market, Stanton DJ Division has just introduced their latest controller into the mix. Announced at Musikmesse 2011, the all new Stanton SCS.4DJ Controller is well on the way to a store near you. Stanton has managed to be unique amongst a plethora of media controllers out there by allowing the DJ to use the SCS.4DJ without a computer! At this year's BPM show overseas, Rane has announced a new and affordable DJ software called Serato Itch. Serato Itch will be able work with different DJ controllers from lots of manufacturers for DJ playback. Right now, Serato Itch will work with the Vestax Typhoon and the VCI-100MkII DJ controllers and is available for free download at the Serato website. The Serato Intro software is like another version of Scratch Live and Serato Itch minus some features that beginner and playback DJ's don't need. Download link and press release after the jump.
