TJ Mizell - J Train to Marcy Official Video

TJ Mizell is not only the son of legendary Jam Master Jay of RUN DMC, but he also happens to be one of the most dope DJs in the game right now. In his new video he is featured scratching and beat juggling over the Williamsburg Bridge, as he powers his turntables on the J train using a car battery. This type of stunt has never been caught on camera before, and to our knowledge, never even attempted.

Today’s video comes from the good homie and NYC native TJ Mizell. TJ is not only the son of legendary Jam Master Jay of RUN DMC, but he also happens to be one of the most dope DJs in the game right now. In his new video he is featured scratching and beat juggling over the Williamsburg Bridge, as he powers his turntables on the J train using a car battery. This type of stunt has never been caught on camera before, and to our knowledge, never even attempted. It is great to see a young DJ on the come up keeping the art of turntablism alive, and doing it in style. Stay on the lookout for more dope content from Mizell, and the rest of the DopeRoots Music Group.

[TVR] Skratch Bastid & Chris Karns – “Long Train Runnin”

Today’s turntablist video comes from familiar faces and renowned DJs Skratch Bastid and Chris Karns. To celebrate Valentines Day, the two turntable whisperers did a nice routine using the Doobie Brothers’ track “Long Train Runnin”. The vocal sample goes “Without love, where would you be right now?” which would likely be their inspiration for a v-day video release. Whether you have a valentine or not this year, check out Chris Karns killing it on the finger drumming while Skratch Bastid cuts it up. This video takes place at the Beat Drop music and production school in Calgary. Enjoy!
