Today, Serato has announced the release of the Remote Mini App for iPhone/iPod Touch users. The Serato Remote Mini App is a trimmed down version of the iPad Remote App that allows DJ's to use their iPhone or iPod Touch to load tracks, instant double, set and trigger Cue Points, Loop, Samples, and manipulate FX when used in conjunction with Serato DJ or Serato Scratch Live.

Hot off the heels of this month's Traktor Kontrol Z2 discount offer from Native Instruments, the Traktor Kontrol Z1 portable mixer and interface has just been announced. Numark has just announced a new update for their iDJ application (V1.2). The new app update supports the iPhone, iPod touch, and the iPad and now allows users to directly import music directly from the device's iPod library. The Traktor DJ iPad App has been out for a few months now and veteran DJ Shiftee even produced a cool video showing all of the digital goodness that lies within Traktor DJ once you get the hang of the features. Native Instruments has just released a new youtube playlist consisting of five Tutorial Videos that show users how to get started with the Traktor DJ App. These Tutorials include: Collection Sync, Browsing, Preparation, Mixing, and Performing. The Traktor DJ App for the iPad has been out for a few months now and DJ's are finally starting to find their own with the software and make some cool mashups and remixes using this compact setup. DJ Shiftee, who always does his thing on the Traktor gear videos, has now released his Demo video of him getting busy with the Traktor DJ App on the go in the streets of Berlin. Yesterday, Native Instruments released a new Free Traktor DJ 1.5 update for the iOS DJ platform which adds a new SuperSlicer feature that's sure to get DJ's talking. The new SuperSlicer feature works just like Pioneer or Serato's slicer function in that the music gets divided into equal parts for manupulation, but the SuperSlicer also lets DJ's add deconstruct loops using Scratch, Brake, Reverse, Slice or even Pitch-Shift effects.
