The winner of the DMC World championship for 2015 was a little of a breath of fresh air you could say. If you watched the winning routines from the three previous years, you would know what I am talking about. It was just all technical and no music, just noise. And the technical aspect is definitely important but to some extent. Vekked's routine was definitely technical but it was a lot more musical than just trying to add the most complex cuts and juggles possible and that is why I call it a breath of fresh air. I don't know if the video need to be edited that much but nonetheless, here is his performance with his gold Rane 57 mixer.

The biggest and baddest world DJ Competition is going viral! The DMC turntablist championship is now also an online competition. Introducing the DMC Online DJ Championship where turntablists all over the world are able to send in videos in order to compete against other worldwide DJ hopefuls. So whether you are interested in competing or simply voting for a winner, all you have to do is visit the site and sign-up! Videos can be submitted on February 14th and round one of competition begins on March 3rd, so hurry up and get it crackin! (Links, Rules, and Sign-up Inside).

The DMC Online DJ Championship launches on February 20th, 2014 and is open to every DJ around the world to enter! This year there is a brand new format that features 11 rounds with the first 10 rounds being decided and voted on by the public and the final round of top-10 DJ's being decided by DMC world champions. The 2013 DMC World Championships were held on October 5th at the O2 Arena in the UK this year and it was another huge success. By all accounts the battles were really close this year but there can only be one winner in each category! France's DJ Fly (above) took the top prize in the World Final, Ritchie Ruftone took first place in the Battle for World Supremacy, and France's Mr Viktor, Deska & DJ Hertz won the World Team battle by only one point!

The winner of the 2013 Online DMC DJ Championships has been announced by the DMC judges. The performance which took top honors for the entire competition was by JON1ST from the UK who does some seriously crispy scratching and out-of-this-world juggling in one of the best performances I've seen to date. Watch this phenomenal set by as he rips it up on a set of Technics 1210's and a new Rane Sixty-Two Mixer and get ready to see him at the World DMC DJ Championships in a few short weeks.

Numark has just released the new portable turntable with an integrated fader switch so DJ's can take their turntablism act on the go! We were at the DJ Expo 2016 in Atlantic City NJ to give you the complete rundown of this new turntable and a scratch demo from the showroom floor, but now the DMC champions were able to use the PT01 Scratch and give their own feedback. Check out their thoughts in the video.

The 2013 Online DMC Championships are going on right now and the competition is getting tight. A few weeks ago I brought you Vekked's Round 4 winning performance that was simply amazing. This week the DMC online Round 5 Winner has been announced as Cancer the Crab! Check out the Cancer the Crab Round 5 first place performance as he puts in work on the Rane TTM-56S Mixer and a pair of classic Technics 1200 turntables.
