Vestax Bankrupt but Still Alive
Vestax, one of my favorite DJ equipment brands, has filed for Bankruptcy late last year. I did not report on this announcement because I knew that wasn't the end of the story. Just before the New Year, Mixware.net (the US distributor for Vestax) released a statement that supports the claim that Vestax is still alive and we'll likely see some new products and developments shortly. Here's the message from Mixware.net:
"The bankruptcy procedure was a necessary first step into the rebuilding of Vestax Japan and Vestax brand. Measures, engineering team, new product designs and financial support are already in place to support the rebuilding process and more information will be published by Vestax Japan during the course of the first semester 2015.
This process will definitely take some time before the first new Vestax products reach the worldwide markets but we're confident that once again under the leadership of its original founders, Vestax will soon reemerge as a strong innovative brand as it has always been."
As you can tell from the picture above, I've been a longtime fan of Vestax because they make revolutionary products that always exude crazy amounts of build quality and scratch-happiness. I'm sure we'll get more information on the new products and the rebuild process very soon, so stay tuned!
Do you guys love Vestax as much as I do? Were you happy to see this news or did you actually want them to go away? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
