The Numark Mixtrack Edge was also on display at the 2013 Atlantic City DJ Expo and we were able to get lots of play time with the Edge. The Numark team was gracious enough to give us an exclusive walkthrough video to let us know what the Mixtrack Edge it’s all about. This new ultra-slim DJ controller has a high-quality aluminum build while providing easy-to-use controls for DJ’s on the go or DJ’s with limited space or budget.
The Numark Mixtrack Edge is only an inch thick and can easily fit inside of a laptop bag or tablet style case as its about the same size as an iPad. The Mixtrack Edge is fully class-compliant which means it will work right out of the box without any additional drivers on PC and Mac. The aluminum jog wheels (which you can scratch with) and chassis along with a built in protective cover make it ideal for traveling DJ’s who need the protection against bumps and bangs.
It was originally thought that the Edge didn’t have effects controls or ways to control the pitch sliders, but the Mixtrack Edge has three built in layers to give the jog wheels and EQ controls more functions. In the walkthrough video you will see the Jog wheels serve as scratch wheels, pitch sliders, pitch bend, or even for file navigation. You’ll also see the EQ knobs at the top also double as effects controls.
The Mixtrack Edge will be available in October for only $150… A full review will be available shortly so stay tuned and subscribe to the youtube channel at
