We just reviewed two new Sennheiser headphones earlier this week with the
being the best bet for DJ's. Sennheiser has just announced a new lineup of three new DJ oriented headphones that is sure to please all DJ's across different performance needs and cost levels. Introducing the Sennheiser HD8 DJ, HD7 DJ, and HD6 MIX over the ear professional DJ and Studio headphones.
All three headphones sport an over-the-ear oversized driver design. All three also come with two different replaceable cables (coiled & straight) that can connect to either earcup and two sets of earpads for a custom fit. The HD7 DJ and HD8 DJ have the ability to swivel for easy transport or storage and for one-ear-on one-ear-off monitoring capability. The HD8 DJ seems to have a more durable construction with lots of metal all around the earcups and even a metal swivel pin at the joint. The HD7 DJ looks to be the middle of the road in terms of build quality with a mostly plastic construction with the ability to swivel as well. The HD6 Mix is the Studio style monitoring choice with a mostly plastic construction that will retain its shape and no swivel joint for monitoring with one ear or travel. We'll be sure to get these into the lab for the full DJbooth review treatment. Check out the links and pics below for more information on each model.
