[Video] Traktor's Mixer Controller Announced
Ever wonder what would happen if Native Instruments started making true DJ Mixers? Well now you don't have to wonder for long because Native Instruments just posted the new teaser video that all but reveals the World's first Traktor 2+2 Channel Mixer and DJ controller. From the looks of it, the new Traktor Mixer-Controller will be able to accept CD and Vinyl Timecode decks without the need of a DVS soundcard. The mixer also looks to be made with a strong metal chassis and has controls for effects, hot-cues, loops, and everything else in between. Check out the Eric Goldstein performance to see what features you can find.
The Traktor Mixer-Controller will be able to control all four decks, but there must be some layering involved since I don't see four channel faders and controls. There seems to also be a loop recorder with browsing knobs and buttons in the middle. There is definitely a 3-Band EQ with Gain and Filter knobs for each channel and since its made by Native Instruments you know that the integration with software will be virtually flawless! There's also a USB Hub around back so that DJ's can plug in other controllers (perhaps to control Decks C & D?) and any other USB Device that DJ's need. I am very anxious to see this in its entirety and to actually get one in the Lab for a Full-HD-Video review. More on this new Traktor Mixer as soon as we get a press release and actual images shortly! Stay Tuned!
