The new Serato DJ 1.9.5 contains a host of improvements including the ability to use the Pioneer NEXUS 2 DJ setup in full working harmony. The Pioneer DJM-900NXS2 is Serato DJ compatible with the purchase of the Serato DJ Club Kit pack and the CDJ-2000NXS2 decks work in full HID mode using a USB cable or networked for single connection to the computer. Serato has just released a new video tutorial showing how to setup the Nexus 2 with Serato DJ.

Every year, Pioneer DJ has the biggest and best exhibit in all of the DJ Expo Land. This year, Pioneer has its entire new lineup of controllers, CDJ's, mixers, and speakers on-had for everyone to use and purchase. The new DJM-750 four-channel mixer was on display with a set of CDJ-850's. The platinum limited edition Nexus setup also made an appearance. The XDJ-R1, DDJ-SX, and S-DJ X speaker lineup were all setup and ready to go and we have an exclusive S-DJ X speaker walkthrough coming shortly.

Pioneer has been slowly phasing out it's aging Club mixer lineup in favor of the new "Nexus" type models which have lots more features and provide a general update for their previous entries. The Pioneer DJM-800 has now has a new successor and will soon be replaced by the new Pioneer DJM-850 performance DJ mixer which was just announced yesterday. The new DJM-850 has much more functionality when used in conjunction with DJ software with its built-in USB sound card, the new BEAT COLOR FX function, and lots of other features that will get club DJ's in a frenzy. Pioneer DJ has just released the brand new two-channel scratch/battle DJ Mixer that works in perfect harmony with Serato DJ and has all of the Pioneer FX that DJ's have come to love. The new Pioneer DJM-S9 Serato DJ Mixer sports eight RGB backlit pads for each channel, dual USB ports for easy DJ switch-overs, and a new Magvel Pro scratch crossfader that has many unique adjustments and features for todays scratch DJ's. The Pioneer DJ team has released a quick performance video which shows Mr. Switch (DMC World Champ) getting busy on the DJM-S9 and a set of PLX-1000 Turntables.

Earlier this morning Pioneer DJ has released a very quick teaser video of what looks to be like their new Rekordbox software with a lot more features. Specifically, it looks like the Rekordbox software that currently handles track preparation and library management for CDJ/DJM users will now be able to work in real time with new DJ controllers and perhaps even DVS timecode vinyl setups. Check out the official DJbooth.net Video Coverage of the Pioneer DJ Booth at the 2011 Atlantic City DJ Expo at the Trump Taj Mahal. On-hand were the entire line of CDJ media players, DJM mixers, and their new Monitor Speaker Setups. There were a bunch of kiosks for people to choose from with a nice variety of gear combinations. The DJM-T1 Traktor Mixer was one of the most popular pieces while the DJM-2000 mixer and the all-white 350 system were visually stunning at the Pioneer DJ Booth.
