Rae Sremmurd's Slim Jxmmi Blows the Roof Off of a "Brxnks Truck"
A few weeks ago, Mike WiLL announced that not only would Rae Sremmurd be releasing the third installment of their SremmLife album series this year, but that both Swae Lee and Slim Jxmmi would be releasing solo projects alongside their joint album.
The general consensus among fans was that releasing three albums at once is at least one too many albums at once, that the Tupelo, Mississippi brothers would probably be better suited by consolidating their strongest material, and that if we were going to get excited about a solo project from only one member, it would be one the more versatile, melodic Swae Lee.
Today, we have three new offerings from the duo, including "Powerglide"—a nearly six-minute, true Rae Sremmurd single featuring Juicy J that would sound right at home on a Fast & Furious soundtrack—and "Hurt to Look," a passionate and vulnerable taste of Swaecation that, while solid, falls short of expectations.

And so, of course, Slim Jxmmi's "Brxnks Truck" is the surprising gem of the trio, an adrenaline rush overtop sizzling grease and booming 808s from Mike WiLL Made-It and J-Bo. Rae Sremmurd's more abrasive half raps his ass off, and it's hard to deny his various claims of bossing up, leveling up, and bezeling up.
Consider "Brxnks Truck" a hell of an introduction to Jxmtroduction.
