9th Wonder & Buckshot - Stop Rapping
- Artist: Buckshot
- Track: Stop Rapping
- Feat. 9th Wonder
- Producer: 9th Wonder
- Album: The Solution
In a world where mic skills paid, Buckshot would be making Rick Ross money. (As for what kind of money Rick Ross would be making, I'll let y'all use your imagination.) In reality, of course, being exceptionally good at what you do is not only not a ticket to superstardom; it can be an obstacle to public acceptance. On the latest street single off his forthcoming LP with 9th Wonder, the Brooklyn vet tells sucker emcees what they can do to restore balance to the rap game, pleading, “Everything ain't for everyone—son, Stop Rapping.” As Buck shakes his head at the state of the industry, 9th provides a low-key instrumental accompaniment, layering pensive string/keyboard riffs over a bumping rhythm section. If you're not one of the abysmal spitters who collectively comprise “the problem,” you can still be part of the Solution by copping 9th and Buckshot's junior collaborative set when it drops November 13, via Jamla/Duck Down.
