Add-2 - Iron Mic
- Artist: Add-2
- Track: Iron Mic
- Producer: Sundown (of Actual Proof)
- Album: Save.Our.Souls
If you start a song with a clip of Mike Tyson ranting about eating an opponent’s children, you BETTER come correct. Freestyle Series Alum and Chicago native, Add-2, attacks his new track Iron Mic with a juggle of rhymes and bar schemes, increasing his energy and approach as the track progresses. Sounding a little like Freeway and Royce Da 5’9” at times, Add-2 gives the listener plenty to dissect in his lyrics. Where the initial Tyson sample would have one think the song is going to be a hardcore track, Add-2 instead uses the song to deliver the real with just enough edge to keep the testosterone level up. The song is produced by Sundown of Actual Proof, and delivers a soul sample beat reminiscent of the late 90’s. Iron Mic is part of Add-2’s new forthcoming album, Save.Our.Souls., while Actual Proof’s Still Hotter Than July is set to be released on July 26.
