August Alsina - Grindin'
- Artist: August Alsina
- Track: Grindin'
- Producer: Knucklehead
- Album: None (Promo Single)
August Alsina's onstage collapse at a September show in NYC left some wondering whether the New Orleans crooner's days as a major player in the music game were numbered. A month and change later, however, he's back with a promo single that sheds a little light on the circumstances surrounding the incident, and proves that Alsina is by no means down for the count. On the Weezy-inspired Grindin', Knucklehead's moody, trap-tinged synth boardwork backs the artist as he reaffirms his dedication to the hustle, thanking his loyal fans and scoffing at his haters (“When I took a little fall I was stepping on a n**ga.”). Payne Lindsey's official visuals round out the package. This joint is just a loosie, but fans can hear more on Alsina's Def Jam debut album, Testimony.
