Azad Right - Work

  • Artist: Azad
  • Track: Work
  • Producer: Jonathan Marquez
  • Album: For the Hopeful

Like many people who eventually find their way into the music game, Azad Right had a, shall we say, eclectic employment history pre-rap. But the West Coast phenom wouldn't have it any other way. From Working at Panera Bread alongside convicted felons, to slacking off with his friends at Patty's Pizza, to making illicit cash as a dealer, each of his hustles helped to make him the man he is today. The final verse depicts Azad interning for Interscope, putting people on to Drake and J. Cole while plotting his own takeover of the game. Complete with a soulful, sampled beat by Jonathan Marquez, Work is just one of many quality cuts to be found on indie full-length For the Hopeful, scheduled to hit online retailers October 21.
