Bambu ft. DJ Supreme Fist - Shabs
- Artist: Bambu
- Track: Shabs
- Producer: DJ Arbie Won
- Album: Party Worker
Just shy of a year after blessing our front page with his last solo feature, mixtape inclusion My Potnas, Bambu has unleashed Shabs, single numero uno off his next studio album. As usual, the Los Angeles representative presents radical politics in an eminently listenable package. Over DJ Arbie Won's horn-sampled beat, which cleverly shifts from 6/8 to 4/4 time halfway through the joint, he tells the story of a poor Manilian drug addict who lashes out against an American sex tourist. DJ Supreme Fist mans the wheels of steel, and Paco Renata provides a set of compelling, animated visuals. Party Worker is scheduled for independent digital release on Tuesday, October 28. In the meantime, of course, you can keep it locked for more fresh singles.
