Bishop Nehru x DOOM - Darkness

DJBooth_logo2x

Seventeen-year-old East Coast buzzmaker Bishop Nehru and enigmatic rap vet DOOM may hail from different generations, but they share a taste for dusty, sampled beats and intricate lyrics. Thus, it should come as no surprise that they've come together to create a joint album. Our first taste of the project comes in the form of Darkness, which was released Monday in honor of the date's symmetry (7/7/2014). Featured in conjunction with Nehru's own murky visuals, this cut features the young emcee spitting tightly-wound, insightful bars over his masked homie's brass-laced boom-bap grooves. (Daniel Dumille stays behind the boards this time around.) Wholly produced by DOOM, the NehruvianDOOM LP is coming later this year via Lex Records. As always, fans can keep it locked for the latest singles.
