Dawn Richards - Tide: The Paradox Effect

DJBooth_logo2x
  • Artist: Dawn Richard
  • Track: Tide: The Paradox Effect
  • Producer: Noisecastle III
  • Album: None (Promo Single)

Dawn Richard fans, your already-f**king-fantastic day is about to get just a little bit better. Not satisfied simply to release her latest full-length, the singer/songwriter has also decided to liberate a new single that didn't make it onto the project. If “Tide: The Paradox Effect” sounds more like a big-budget science fiction film than a typical R&B record, that isn't an accident. To accompany the song, an atmospheric jam fueled by Noisecastle III's alternately airy and jagged synth production, Richards and We Were Monkeys deliver a trippy set of visuals depicting the artist as “an Amazonian warrior that travels through a harsh fantastical world to confront all obstacles and attain the light.” You know what? Maybe you should just watch it—and when you're done, click here to cop the freshly-released Blackheart LP via iTunes.
