DJ Khaled ft. Scarface, Nas & DJ Premier - Hip Hop

DJBooth_logo2x

I won't front, I've haven't exactly been easy on DJ Khaled over the years, but the man might have just bought himself a lifetime pass from hip-hop heads for this new Hip-Hop joint. Featuring more hall-of-fame talent than the '92 Dream Team, Hip-Hop is founded on yet another cinematic beat from the J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League that makes heavy use of a live piano. From there we get an emotional verse from Scarface that will have many proclaiming "he's back!", while Nas stays in his classic Life Is Good form with a closing verse that demands at least 20 rewinds to truly comprehend. At least. Oh, and did I mention live scratching from DJ Premier? Sometimes you remember why you fell in love with Hip-Hop in the first place, this is one of those times for me. I think it's safe to say that this will be the standout track from DJ Khaled's upcoming Kiss the Ring album, due out August 21.
