Drake - Hold On, Were Goin Home (Kastle Remix)
For the past couple weeks, Drake's Hold On, Were Goin Home has been running through my head on more or less constant repeat. And I don't even mind—the song is that f**king addictive, thanks in large part to Nineteen85 and Noah “40” Shebib's deft production. On his new remix of the cut, producer Kastle translates the record into a higher-octane EDM lexicon, while retaining the warmth and many of the aural quirks that made made the original great. A clattering four-on-the-four rhythm section backs Drizzy's smooth vocals, which Kastle slices and rearranges into a variety of catchy new configurations. This remix isn't part of a larger project, but fans can, of course, find the original on Aubrey Graham's newly-released junior set, Nothing Was the Same.
