Elephant Man ft. Wyclef, Swizz Beatz, Yung Joc, Assassin - Five-O (Remix)
- Artist: Elephant Man
- Track: Five-O (Remix) ft. Wyclef, Swizz Beatz, Yung Joc, Assassin
- Feat. Swizz Beatz, Yung Joc, Wyclef Jean
- Producer: Swizz Beatz & Wyclef Jean
- Album: Let's Get Physical
One of the most striking similarities between reggae and hip-hop is a distrust and disregard for the police, as is expressed on the remix to Elephant Man's Five-O. In addition to original collaborator/producer Wyclef, the remix features Swizz Beatz (who co-produced here), Yung Joc, and deejay newcomer Assassin. Swizzy interpolates his own hit It's Me Snitches, Joc incorporates his street sense (a side of him lately unseen,) and Assassin sounds perfectly matched to be a would-be third member to a super group started by Ele and Clef. Swizzy's drum patterns complementing Wyclef's original beat make this one of the few remixes which actually blows the original out of the water (and the best example since UGK's International Player's Anthem.) Be sure to look for more club & dance hall bangers when Ele's new album, Let's Get Physical, drops on August 14.
