Eternia ft. Rah Digga & Rage - The BBQ

DJBooth_logo2x

I love female rappers. Lauryn Hill is in my top 5 dead or alive, Nicki Minaj is my (imaginary) girlfriend and Missy Elliot has earned a permanent place on any party playlist. So when The BBQ came to my inbox, I was excited. Booth favorites Eternia & MoSS team up with Rage and the legendary Rah Digga for this combination of a fresh beat and samurai sword sharp lyrics. MoSS’ production is very dynamic; hard hitting drums and cymbals make this up-tempo instrumental a lyricist's dream, and this group of female wordsmiths are far from asleep on the mic. I must say that while all parties put on impressive displays, Rah Digga takes the crown. A menacing intro laugh, a dope hook contribution and lines like “I be movie scorin’/ rhyming outta boredom/ Somewhere in the Islands, tryna talk sense to Lauren” make it clear that Rah still got it, and she isn’t afraid to allow Eternia and Rage get In The Mix as well. If you’re eating up BBQ, be sure to support Eternia and MoSS’ upcoming album At Last when it drops on June 29.
