Fleeta Partee ft. Wayman Earls & Vitamin D - Apathy
- Artist: Fleeta Partee
- Track: Apathy
- Producer: Jake One
- Album: LifeMuzik EP
In a world where corruption and deceit often seem to be the rule rather than the exception, it's tough to get outraged about damn near anything anymore. Seattle rhymesayer Fleeta Partee, however, is determined to shake hip-hop heads out of their Apathy--and maybe, just maybe, reawaken their human capacity to love. To that end, he's come together with Jake One and a couple fellow underground artists to offer a visceral reminder of just how cutthroat life in the streets can be on this new single, his first Booth feature. Over the Rhymesayers beatsmith's boom-bap percussion and downpitched soul samples, Partee rhymes about the allure of crime and the ever-present dangers of the 'hood, advising young people to hustle hard and get out while their souls are still intact. Wayman Earls contributes a spoken-word intro, and Vitamin D provides ad-libs throughout the cut. For more, check out Fleeta's LifeMuzik EP, released in June and available now for purchase via iTunes.
