You can count on a stone-cold gangster like Freddie Gibbs to start a project off with a bang. The killer opening track off his recently-released Gangsta Grillz tape, BFK has just been released as the latest video single off the set. On this certified street banger, M-80 crafts a slow-rolling instrumental for the artist’s gritty, intricately-flowed snapshots of life round his way. The official visuals, produced by Teho Media, feature all the blunt-smoking and gun-toting you’d expect, along with a hilarious shot which finds Gibbs expressing his dominance by hitching a ride on top of a Gary, Indiana police car. (The officer who made this happen was apparently demoted after behind-the-scenes footage of the shoot leaked.) For this cut, previously-featured singles Walk in Wit the Mo, Kush Cloud and The Hard, and much more, check out the DJ Drama-hosted Baby Face Killa, a deluxe version of which is currently available for purchase in The DJBooth.
