Hi-Rez - Race With Time
- Artist: Hi-Rez
- Track: Race With Time
- Producer: Joel Johnston
- Album: Untitled (TBD)
While Hi-Rez hasn't been glimpsed on our pages since February, when he brought us ambitious mixtape inclusion Music in Me, fans shouldn't take that to mean the Ft. Lauderdale representer's been slacking on his hustle. On the contrary, as he assures us on a freshly-released cut off his next street album, “I'm still pushin', I'm workin' hard daily / I'm in a Race With Time.” As on the aforementioned jam, Rez digs deep lyrically, lacing Joel Johnson's pensive beat with an intimate account of his single-minded, borderline desperate quest for success in the game: “The rays of the sun ain't shinin' when I ain't seein' your face. The good life ain't even taste good; such a waste.” This poignant hustle anthem is slated to be part of an upcoming project, details on which have yet to be announced—keep it locked for all the latest!
