Last week, Christian R&B songstress HillaryJane introduced herself to Boothgoers by debuting the unplugged version of Celebrity on our front page. After seeing the rave reader reviews that greeted that joint, she decided to give us the world premiere of another fresh single off her forthcoming acoustic project. On this rendition of Chimneys, fingerpicked guitar chords and a subtly driving rhythm section accompany Hillary as she takes her man to task for “blowing smoke” in an effort to deceive her. In addition to showcasing the same impressive vocal stylings we glimpsed on her previous feature, she switches gears to deliver a few rapped bars on the back. Featuring stripped-down reimaginings of all the tracks off her summer 2014 debut project, HillaryJane’s Stix and Stones Unplugged EP is scheduled for digital release on Tuesday, December 30.
