Way back in August of 2012, when the Windy City buzzmaker was still an unknown quantity on our pages, Ibn Inglor unleashed mixtape single Lordy Lord. Inspiring our own Nathan S. to write, “Sweet baby Jesus this is dope,” the cut played, perhaps, a larger role than any other in setting the artist on the path to Booth favedom. Today, we get a second look at that record courtesy of Ibn's frequent behind-the-boards collaborator, Mhone Glor. In place of Kareem Virgo and E.N.O.N Jacob's minimal percussion rhythm, Glor cooks up a menacing, trap-infused groove incorporating tense piano arpeggios and choral vocals. This version of Lordy Lord isn't part of a larger set, but its prototype can be found on Inglor's Booth-approved street album, TheComp.
