On his last single, featured at the top of August, Queens phenom and perennial reader fave K. Sparks offered a hard-hitting critique of the Feminization of black men, as perpetrated by the mass media. The subject matter struck such a nerve that Sparks has already whipped up a remix of the record, featuring additional commentary by two fellow Booth-approved emcees. Jammin auteur Loaded Lux and Boston buzzmaker Charmingly Ghetto jump on Fero Navi's head-nodding beat to spit thought-provoking rhymes on the intersection between race and gender. Fans will be able to find both this remix and its prototype on Sparks' Vintage Art LP, set to (finally!) hit the Booth in early September.
