Under the hot glare of the spotlight, it can be tough to remember that All That glitters ain't gold—and, conversely, not everything that's gold glitters. Kahali Oden, the West Coast spitter formerly known as Doey Rock, had to learn this lesson the hard way. On his latest street single, the artist recounts how his obsessive pursuit of paper led him to throw away a woman's love, and made him vulnerable to disloyal homies. In the end, of course, he finds that what he gained wasn't worth all that he'd sacrificed: “I thought money in the bank would erase my pain / That's a lie.” His soul-searching comes backed by a fittingly pensive, piano-led beat by Cherne and Carl Roe. Fans will be able to find this joint, Booth-acclaimed single A Letter to My Kids and many more quality cuts on Oden's It Ain't My Fault album, dropping digitally in August.
Update: Kahali Oden's Dunnie-directed All That visuals have been added.
