Lincoln Blache - The Times
- Artist: Lincoln Blache
- Track: The Times
- Producer: Lincoln Blache
- Album: The Times
Though Lincoln Blache is new to the Booth, he's already built up a healthy buzz in his native Canada, even scoring several JUNO nominations before the birth of his first child forced him to put music on the back burner. On his first release since that miniature hiatus came to an end, the artist's introduction to fatherhood inspires him to reflect on The Times in which he and his son (who contributes “guest vocals” to the intro) live. Over his own warm, keyboard-led production, Lincoln contemplates the effects of racism and economic hardship on kids and their parents, as well as the less direct impact of war overseas. The Times will be featured on a forthcoming mixtape of the same name, scheduled for release in early 2015.
