Earlier this week, Atlantic Records announced that Lupe Fiasco's long-delayed, super-overdue new album, Tetsuo & Youth, will be released this coming January. (We'll believe it when we see hear it.) While three months is a relatively short period of time to wait for a full LP from an artist you love, Lupe understands that his fans are both important and impatient people. To help tide these folks over until the top of the new year, the Chicagoan will release Lost In The Atlantic (elbow shot to the ribs, anyone?), a free mixtape with, according to a Tweet he since deleted, "a bunch of my friends." The first taste of the upcoming freebie release is Lilies, a majestic production by The Buchanans that features guest vocals from labelmate Sirah. If Lupe indeed flowered Atlantic with a batch of Lilies this fresh when playing his new album for the label, it's incredible he didn't come up roses.
