M-Dot - Praverbs

  • Artist: M-Dot
  • Track: Praverbs
  • Producer: Jerz

Yesterday evening, hip-hop lost a talented artist and The DJBooth lost a friend. Praverb, the Floridian emcee who brought us Super Saiyans back in 2013, passed away suddenly. As a tribute to the rapper born Earl Patrick McNease (who interviewed our own DJ Z for his blog earlier this year), Boston rhymesayer M-Dot has liberated new promo single Praverbs. Over Jerz's mournful flip of Marvin Gaye's You're the One for Me, the Booth regular looks back all they've shared over the course of their 12-year friendship, from studio sessions to the joys of fatherhood. Despite his grief, he states that considers himself blessed to have known the late rhymesayer, and looks forward to meeting him in the afterlife. Unattached to anything larger, this poignant loosie is available for free download above.

Please consider making a donation in Earl's name, which will go toward funeral costs for the family.
