The Mecca Of Rhymes - Seven Rooms
- Artist: The Mecca Of Rhymes
- Track: Seven Rooms
- Producer: Equinox Productions
- Album: Revenge of the Words
Looks like pious emcees should start facing the South when they flow – The Mecca of Rhymes has been found, and he resides in North Carolina. On this newly-leaked mixtape cut, the Greenboro-based Booth newcomer flips the Four Tops' '67 hit single Seven Rooms of Gloom into a head-nodding meditation on his dopeness, his struggle, and did I mention he's dope as hell? Over Equinox Production' synth-fortified sample work, the artist shows off his impressive pen game, mixing braggadocio with plain old good advice: “Every day's a hustle so muscle for what you stand for / Learn to be prepared for sh*t you're never prepared for...” While this track may not qualify as a religious experience, it's most definitely one that disciples of authentic, street-certified hip-hop won't want to pass up. If you're digging Seven Rooms, chances are you'll enjoy what The Mecca of Rhymes is set to serve up on his latest street album, Revenge of the Words, scheduled for release sometime this May.
