There are plenty of hip-hop artists who can be counted on to create high-quality tunes packed with lyrical insight, but truly mind-expanding records are few and far between. If you've been craving something a little (or a lot) deeper than your average rap joint, This Is Life, the latest single and solo Booth debut from Miami Beat Wave, should fit the bill perfectly. Making its world premiere right here in the Booth, this track finds the Floridian production trio blending spacey guitar riffs, vocal samples and synth ambiance into an eminently headphone-worthy backdrop for the existential ponderings of two of hip-hop's most revolutionary thinkers; M1 and Stic.Man of iconic duo dead prez handle mic duties, delivering some of the most thought-provoking bars I've heard in a minute.
