If a male artist, Rap or R&B, created a song entitled “Shake It (Like A Dog),” Fox News commentator Bill O’Reilly would host a one-hour special warning America of its degrading message. While such a song does in fact exist, it will never see the light of day on shows like the O’Reilly Factor (unless Bill wants to speak to feature artist Jim Jones about his break-up with Cam’ron). Well the legion of journalists ready to proclaim hip-hop's moral corruption can relax; the lovely Mya is the song’s main artist. So it's okay if a women says she’ll 'shake it like a dog' but the FCC comes knocking if a man says the same thing? Though hypocritical, it’s the 'PC' way of the world. We'll just have to wait and see what controversy Shake It (Like A Dog) stirs up when Mya’s long-awaited album Liberation is finally released.
