Nas ft. Rick Ross - Accident Murderers
Nearly two decades ago Nas broke onto the hip-hop scene with New York State of Mind, one of the best storytelling raps the game had ever heard. Fast forward to 2012 and Nasir is returning to his roots with new single Accident Murderers. Over a soulful beat from producer No I.D., Nas lays down the tale of a man who has only ended innocent lives. These aren’t stone cold killers, these are men bragging about tragic mistakes: “Act like you killed on purpose / you didn’t mean to murk him, your gun’s a virgin.” Add in a verse from Nas’ now frequent rhyme partner Rick Ross that, it must be pointed out, doesn’t contain a fraction of the storytelling ability, and you’ve got the perfect way to get heads even more hyped for the arrival of Nas’ Life Is Good studio album, due out July 17.
