Nelly ft. Usher - Long Night
This past November, Nelly and the label executives at Universal Motown decided to delay the release of the rapper's new album, Brass Knuckles. After several more delays since the top of this year, the album seems to have settled in nicely to its current drop date of August 19. With three records currently saturating the mainstream marketplace (Party People, Stepped On My J'z, and Body On Me), it seems as though the iconic Midwest native might have pushed himself over the top with a fourth. On Long Night, Nelly and his Atlanta compadre Usher go back and forth over a mid-tempo beat from Mr. Love In This Club's little brother, J. Lack. While the song's theme has been used and re-used quite a bit over the last… I don't know… forever, the collaboration seems to capture both artists' musical strength. For Nelly's sake, let's hope his nights aren't long for much longer.
Note: The streaming of “Long Night” has temporarily been suspended.
