Veteran West Coast rhymesayer Ras Kass and Motown beatsmith Apollo Brown were supposed to drop their debut joint full-length next week but, after the project sprang an unfortunate leak they decided to roll with the punches and unleash Blasphemy a few days early. To help get the word out, they've also liberated new single How to Kill God, a record that straight-up exemplifies the LP's title. Over a brash, brass-led beat laced with ironic gospel samples, Ras attacks the Judeo-Christian edifice from all angles, calling attention to atrocities committed in the name of God and offering a revisionist take on Old Testament history. Feeling this tendentious jam? More flames await on the aforementioned album, out now via Mello Music Group.
