Rediculus - Mad as Hell
- Artist: Rediculus
- Track: Mad as Hell
- Producer: Rediculus
- Album: In Response: Dee-Fi
Rediculus is as Mad as Hell, and he's not gonna take it anymore! Appropriately, the buzzmaking beatsmith's latest single finds him borrowing the words of fictional newscaster Howard Beale's most famous speech, as heard in Sidney Lumet-directed drama Network. Though written in the 1970s, the monologue resonates strongly with the world of 2014, touching upon environmental destruction, the oil crisis, tension with Russia and other issues that continue into the present day. The producer's understated instrumental backdrop, fueled by delicate keyboard riffs and a head-nodding rhythm section, adds to the message's poignancy. Nick Guarderas's unique stop-motion visuals round out the package. For Mad and many more fresh records (both instrumental and guest-assisted), cop Rediculus's In Response: Dee-Fi LP when it drops independently in the near future.
