Rickie Jacobs is what you'd call a perfectionist. That's why the unsigned buzzmaker hasn't blessed our front page with a fresh song since spitting Kill Switch for our exclusive freestyle series back in May. On the flip side, though, it's also why comeback feature SUNE. is as dope as it is. BeatsByO mans the boards on this gritty, yet understated jam, layering spacey vocal loops over a trap-informed percussion rhythm as Jacobs chronicles his recent hustle in agile, inspired bars. Just in case you couldn't tell from his verses, he ends the chorus by exclaiming, “Oh Lord I'm focused!” This record is just a loosie, but the artist claims that it's his “2015 in a nutshell.” Presumably, that means we can expect more quality tunes in the very near future.
