Not quite ready to start bundling up for winter? I know exactly how you feel, and I have some good news: today, a Heatwave is rolling through the Booth in the form of German beatsmith Shuko's latest single. But this ain't the heavy, lethargy-inducing heat of a humid summer day; the record sizzles with the energy of a crowded dancefloor in the wee hours of the morning. The headliner's throbbing percussion and disco/lounge-infused synths accompany melodically-flowed verses by rap vet Talib Kweli, as well as the breezy hook vocals of Deutsch pop songstress Leslie Clio. Heatwave is the first release off Shuko's debut solo album, For the Love of It, which is slated to drop in January of next year.
