Detroit veterans Slum Village are gearing up for the June 16 release of their forthcoming album YES!, but take some time out to get Expressive for its latest single. A laid-back groove, the effort features the light percussion and funky bassline of the late J Dilla – one of several unreleased beats from the legendary producer to appear on the full-length – in addition to guest rhymes from Illa J and BJ The Chicago Kid on hook duties.
