Tha Dogg Pound & Snoop Dogg - L.A. Here's 2 U

DJBooth_logo2x

As we all know, Calvin Broadus transformed himself into Snoop Lion last year, after suddenly realizing that he was the reincarnated spirit of Bob Marley. But the metamorphosis wasn't permanent—he can still channel his previous presonae at will. For example, on new promo single L.A. Here's 2 U, the West Coast veteran harks back to his “Doggy Dogg” era, rejoining forces with Tha Dogg Pound partners-in-rhyme Kurupt and Daz Dillinger to try and recapture that classic Left Coast vibe. Over a Kj Conteh beat that canny listeners may recognize from Scoe's 2012 single, Sunset Strip, the trio pledge their enduring love and loyalty to the City of Angels. There's been no word on any new DPG projects, but fans of Snoop Lion can keep it locked for the latest on new studio album Reincarnation, due out later this year via RCA.
