The Regiment & Random - Kung Fu Treachery

  • Artist: The Regiment
  • Track: Kung Fu Treachery
  • Producer: Mr. Throwed
  • Album: A Gamer's Anthem EP

On their next release via HiPNOTT Records, Motown twosome The Regiment will be joined by a collaborator from the left side of the U.S. map—namely, Phoenix's Random. Though the acts hail from different regions, their styles could hardly be better matched, judging by the project's lead single. Kung Fu Treachery is a bruising street banger fueled by a sizzling Mr. Throwed beat. Though the verses OSI and IseQold trade with their AZ-repping colleague are as aggressive as the instrumental demands, the constant references to retro gaming result in a cut that's more Final Fight than Scarface. Craving more? For Kung Fu and five more quality jams, cop the Gamer's Anthem EP when it hits record stores and online retailers October 28.
