The Roots - 75 Bars (Black’s Reconstruction)

Believe it or not, hip-hop has not always been a three verse song (featuring a guest artist) with a sung hook and radio friendly bridge. Although every major record company refuses to push a record with anything but those components, Grammy award-winning band The Roots simply don’t care. On the first leak off their forthcoming eighth studio album, Rising Down, lead vocalist Tariq ''Black Thought'' Trotter spits 75 straight bars of intense, thought-provoking lyrical fury, over a simply drum pattern courtesy of member ?uestlove. Blacks Reconstruction is one of twelve songs that will be mixed and mastered for Rising Down, set for release on April 29th via Def Jam Records.
